Kitchen Secrets: An inside look at dining facility meal preparation

The Chief Master Sgt. Emerson Williams Dining Facility staff prepares lunch at Shaw Air Force Base, July 11, 2013. The dining facility staff works around-the-clock every day of the year to provide service members daily meals.  A breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight meal is prepared each day for service members. Meal preparation begins two hours prior to it being served; the staff prepares enough food for approximately 100 people.They continue to cook food during each meal to ensure the food is served hot and freshly.
