    The 20th Civil Engineer Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base has been awarded the Environmental Restoration, Installation award for its forward leaning approach to environmental restoration. The Department of Defense Environmental Restoration, Installation award recognizes a base’s efforts to protect human health and the environment by cleaning up hazardous substances, pollutants or contaminants and munitions in a timely, cost-efficient, and responsive manner.

Roux is responsible for updating and maintaining floor plans, using GPS equipment to collect and survey data for new construction projects along with creating and maintaining base maps. He plans on earning a master’s degree in civil engineering.

Jamie Gray, 20th Maintenance Group maintenance operation center controller, to get to know her and her job. Gray is responsible for tracking 20th fighter wing aircraft, maintenance status changes and coordinating and executing wing plans at a moment’s notice. She plans on working towards earning the rank of Technical Sergeant.

Edwards schedules Air Force Dental Readiness Assurance Program appointments for Team Shaw. She is on track to complete her Certified Nurse Assistant degree this July and is working towards becoming a registered nurse.
  • Shooters conduct ACE exercise

    Airmen assigned to the 55th Fighter Squadron and 55th Fighter Generation Squadron worked in conjunction with the 327th Airlift Squadron and 134th FS during an agile combat employment exercise at the Vermont Air National Guard Base, Vermont.
